**Your role and responsibilities**
A Record-to-Report Analyst plays a crucial role in financial accounting and reporting. Here are their key responsibilities:
1. **Account Reconciliation**: This involves comparing two sets of records to ensure they are accurate, complete, and consistent. This could be bank reconciliations, intercompany accounts, or any other type of account.
2. **Journal Entry Preparation**: Record-to-report analysts prepare journal entries for various transactions as per the accounting standards and company's policies.
3. **Financial Reporting**: They are responsible for preparing and generating financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other ad-hoc reports as required.
4. **Compliance and Regulations**: Ensuring all financial transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
5. **Process Improvement**: They often identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
6. **Supporting Other Areas**: They might also provide support to other areas like tax, treasury, and management in their respective financial tasks.
7. **Internal Controls**: Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure transactions are authorized, and maintain accurate and complete financial records.
8. **Communication**: They need to effectively communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, which often includes preparing clear, concise reports and presentations.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Record to Report (R2R) domain.
Strong knowledge and hands on experience in Ms Office especially in excel formulas
Experience in preparing Balance Sheet recons, handling Month-End Close, Fixed Assets, Inter-company, Payroll and Cash & Bank activities.
Posting of Journal entries and recording the transaction in the ERP. SAP knowledge would be an added advantage
Should possess good analytical and reporting skills
Proven expertise in coordinating audits and manage customer expectations
Strong proficiency in Mandarin is required for this role
Proficiency in Japanese and korean will be an added advantage
