Description About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and manage the general ledger (GL) account reconciliations process. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant with a strong background in financial services and a passion for process improvement, automation, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: + Lead the overall GL account reconciliations process, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely completion. + Develop and maintain standards and documentation for balance sheet account reconciliations. + Review and complete reconciliations as needed, including oversight of aged reconciling items and appropriate reserves/write-offs. + Manage monthly reconciliation checklists, ensuring proper documentation and approvals. + Collaborate with internal teams and business partners to resolve reconciling items and maintain GL integrity. + Drive automation and technology implementation efforts, including tools assessment and project management. + Serve as a liaison between Accounting and other departments such as Operations, Retail Support, and Data teams. + Act as a primary contact for internal and external audits related to reconciliations. + Lead departmental projects and identify opportunities for process improvement. + Manage a team of senior accountants and coordinate with outsourced resources. Requirements Qualifications: + 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services. + 3+ years of management experience with a proven ability to lead teams and drive results. + Strong understanding of GL processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting. + Experience with reconciliation automation tools (e.g., BlackLine) is a plus. + Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
