Reconciliation Analyst
Job Title: Reconciliation Analyst Job Description Join a dynamic team as a Reconciliation Analyst where you will execute month-end close processes and contribute to internal control functions. Your role will include handling high-volume financial transactions, supporting timely and accurate reconciliation processes, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams on significant projects. You will be integral to the accounting operations of company-operated restaurants and related projects, ensuring system integration with SAP aligns with accounting standards. Responsibilities + Execute month-end close and internal control processes. + Prepare analyses and support the development of processes for accounting transactions. + Handle high-volume financial transactions and ensure timely and accurate reconciliation. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects. + Support the accounting for corporate-owned restaurants and related projects. + Verify system outputs for alignment with accounting systems, focusing on cash, credit card, gift card, and third-party delivery transactions. + Participate in the automation of cash reconciliation processes. + Engage in system implementation tasks including UAT testing and process mapping. + Support company-wide roles such as sales cash requests, credit card reconciliation, and restaurant accounting operations. + Work with system implementations using ReconNET software. + Identify and resolve discrepancies in transaction matching. Essential Skills + 1+ year of basic experience in accounting. + Proficiency in Excel (SUMIF, VLOOKUP) and Microsoft Word. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. + Experience with ERP and reporting tools such as SAP, Hyperion, OneStream. + Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) preferred. + Experience with auto-reconciliation programs like ReconNet or Blackline preferred. + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish successful relationships. + Experience with large complex data structures. + Self-starter with the ability to work proactively and independently. + Desire to develop and learn process understanding and automation techniques. Work Environment Collaborate with a talented team to support accounting functions within a high-paced, dynamic environment. This role involves day-to-day operations of restaurant accounting and project implementation support. Enjoy the flexibility of working from home 1-2 times a month with potential for change in November. The standard workweek is 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Dress code is business casual. You'll work alongside senior analysts, software implementation consultants, IT professionals, and other stakeholders. The position is based in an office with occasional remote work options. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, Ontario. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
