Recompete Lifecycle Director

**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career-focused, and customer-oriented **Recompete Lifecycle Director** to join an on-site team in Herndon, VA. This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite per week.
As a Recompete Lifecycle Director, you will be a key driver of our company's sustained growth and success in the federal market. This role is central to our Recompete Lifecycle Management Program, focusing on proactive engagement with federal Program Managers, Independent Executives and Capture Teams to strategically position our programs for winning future recompete contracts.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure our programs are ready to win by coordinating, supporting and or conducting comprehensive recompete readiness assessments, identifying risks, and guiding teams through monitoring and completion of plan of actions and milestones to increase P-Win.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Lead Recompete Lifecycle Management activities by driving proactive engagement with federal Program Managers and Capture Teams to position programs for winning future recompete contracts.
+ Coordinate, plan and follow up with Recompete Readiness Assessments for ~50 federal programs, analyzing data across 5 focus areas and ensuring strategic client alignment, operational readiness, B&P process readiness, risk mitigation, and priority needs.
+ Create a centralized POAM Dashboard in Maestro and manage progress across all recompetes.
+ Develop Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) for each program, translating assessment findings into actionable, prioritized improvement steps and tracking them in a centralized dashboard.
+ Identify and resolve risks by monitoring POA&M execution, addressing weaknesses, and managing roadblocks to ensure readiness before RFP release.
+ Train and collaborate with Capture Teams and SMEs to shape RFPs, create positioning white papers, and guide and or attend strategic discussions with clients on RFP structure and evaluation criteria.
+ Provide stakeholder training on recompete preparation, covering strategies and best practices to strengthen competitive positioning.
+ Analyze and report program health by evaluating delivery data, identifying trends, and presenting executive-level updates on pipeline status and program progress.
+ Drive continuous improvement by refining assessment tools, processes, and methodologies to enhance win probability (P-Win) across the organization.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in information science or a related field / or equivalent.
+ 20+ years of experience in the federal market, either directly with the government or in a supporting role for federal programs.
+ Minimum 10 years of direct experience supporting federal programs and/or projects.
+ Demonstrated experience managing projects or programs with a value exceeding $50 million.
+ Proven experience as an instructor or trainer, specifically in topics related to program management, acquisitions, and contracting.
+ Government acquisition and/or contracting experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience leading or participating in recompete lifecycle management or similar business development activities within the federal market.
+ A strong background in data analysis, with the ability to evaluate program delivery data, identify trends, and create executive-level reports.
+ Experience with risk identification and mitigation, particularly in the context of large-scale federal contracts.
+ Demonstrated ability to train and collaborate with diverse teams, including capture teams and subject matter experts.
+ Experience creating and managing Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) and using dashboards to track progress.
+ Familiarity with the use of a centralized system, such as Maestro, for program and recompete management.
+ A proven track record of improving win probability (P-Win) and driving continuous improvement in recompete processes.

+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
