Job Description

The Receptionist provides professional front desk and administrative support in a busy office environment. In this role, you welcome and assist visitors, manage guest access, coordinate safety and security communications, and perform a variety of administrative tasks to keep daily operations running smoothly. You serve as the first point of contact for guests and callers, representing the organization with a courteous and polished presence.

ResponsibilitiesWelcome and check in visitors upon arrival, ensuring proper registration and adherence to site protocols.Issue visitor badges using the designated system to maintain secure and organized access to the facility.Respond to inquiries from guests and visitors, providing directions, general information, and assistance as needed.Act as a point of contact for safety and security matters, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when necessary.Perform routine administrative tasks, including record keeping, data entry, and maintaining logs related to visitor activity and other front desk operations.Greet visitors and callers in a professional manner and direct them to the appropriate person or area.Answer incoming calls, route them to the correct contacts, and take accurate messages when required.Support meeting room setup by coordinating reservations and ensuring rooms are prepared for guests and staff.Provide general administrative support to the department or office as requested.Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times while representing the organization at the front desk.Essential SkillsStrong communication skills, both in person and over the phone.Proven customer service skills in a client-facing or guest-facing role.At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, concierge, or related industry role.Ability to perform basic computer functions with confidence.Familiarity with Microsoft tools and basic office software.Experience providing administrative support in an office or front desk environment.Ability to manage front desk responsibilities such as visitor management, call handling, and meeting room coordination.Education level of at least a high school diploma or GED.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a front desk, reception, or customer-facing administrative role.Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar office productivity tools.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and data entry.Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in a fast-paced environment.Comfort working with safety and security protocols and escalating concerns when needed.Interest in a role with potential for extension and possible conversion to a full-time position.Work Environment

This is an on-site position in a professional office setting with standard hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You work at the front desk in a corporate environment, using computers, visitor management systems, and Microsoft tools to perform daily tasks. The assignment is planned for approximately six months to provide coverage, with the possibility of extension and potential conversion to a full-time role. The work involves consistent interaction with visitors, employees, and security or facilities personnel in a structured, business-focused environment, where a neat, professional appearance is expected.

This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
