Be the face of the dealership! The Receptionist is the first point of contact for customers and callers, delivering exceptional, friendly service while keeping the front desk running smoothly. This role blends customer interaction with administrative support, ensuring every guest experience is welcoming, professional, and efficient.
Schedule includes:
Weekday evenings: 2:50 p.m. – 8:00 p.mMandatory Saturdays: either 7:50 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 1:50 p.m. to 8:00 p.mTwo Sundays per month: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.mTraining includes:
5 daytime shifts (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)3 closing shifts with experienced staffResponsibilitiesWelcome customers with a warm, professional greeting and create a positive first impression.Direct visitors to the appropriate areas (sales, service, lounge, etc.).Answer and route incoming calls accurately using a multi-line phone system.Coordinate with sales and team members to ensure timely customer assistance and follow-up.Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and general office support.Order and manage front desk supplies as needed (with approval).Provide excellent service to both in-person and phone inquiries.Stay upbeat, courteous, and professional—even during high-traffic times.Support sales and retail operations by guiding customer inquiries efficiently.Assist with additional tasks to support customer satisfaction and daily operations.Essential SkillsProven customer-facing or service experience.Friendly, outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Experience managing a front desk and multi-line phone system.Strong administrative and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).Clear communication and a customer-first mindset.Availability to work evenings, Saturdays, and some Sundays.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in retail, sales, or food service is highly valued.Previous receptionist or front desk experience preferred.Familiarity with Outlook or similar communication tools.Strong multitasking ability in high-interaction environments.Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends.Work EnvironmentThis position is based at a busy automotive dealership in NE Salem, supporting multiple vehicle lots. The role operates from the front desk in a fast-paced, customer-focused showroom with regular foot traffic and phone activity.
The environment is professional, team-oriented, and customer-focused, requiring a polished appearance and consistent use of office systems and technology.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
