The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and external partners. This role is responsible for maintaining a professional front desk environment, managing building access, answering and routing phone calls, and performing Excel-based reporting and administrative support for multiple departments. The Receptionist will also assist with conference room setup, meeting logistics, and ordering lunches or other services as needed.
ResponsibilitiesGreet and check in visitors, vendors, and employees, ensuring proper building access and adherence to security procedures.Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.Maintain visitor logs and support a professional, welcoming lobby environment.Schedule, set up, and break down conference rooms for meetings, including coordination of seating, technology, and supplies.Order lunches, catering, and meeting-related services as requested.Prepare and maintain reports in Microsoft Excel, including tracking, data entry, and basic analysis for various departments.Assist with administrative tasks and ad hoc projects for internal teams as needed.Communicate effectively with internal departments to support daily office operations.Monitor front desk activity and ensure a safe, organized, and professional office environment.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsStrong administrative skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience in reporting and administrative support.3+ years of administrative experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsCollege Degree.Work EnvironmentThe Receptionist will be stationed at the front desk, working independently. The work hours are firm, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blauvelt, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
