Receptionist

Doha, Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Receptionist to join our team! In this role you will create a positive and memorable experience for customers, clients, partners, employees, anyone that walks in or calls the place of business.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

Receptionist is the first point of contact that anyone has when reaching out to Parsons.Due to the cultural and geographical customs in the region, the role of receptionist is important because of the first impression that potential clients, customers, employees, or partners have with our business. However, receptionist is much more than greeters in Parsons, they have many different duties and work.  Some of the duties are the following:Welcome guestsConnecting guests to appropriate staffCreate a positive and memorable experience for customers, clients, partners, employees, anyone that walks in or calls the place of businessCall Management - Answer, screen, and forward phone callsSchedule and confirm appointments, meetings and maintain calendars for VC RoomsTake messagesCourier/Mail Management, Domestic and InternationalIncoming – outgoing project documents from various project officesAccept mail and courier deliveries, Arrange outgoing courier servicesIncreases security by determining who get access to the officeInform employees of visitors’ arrivals or cancellationsSend correspondence via emailsAssists the delivery team in all aspects of Facilities Management activities in a complex building or other multiple sites. Actions work requests to ensure a satisfactory outcome is achieved liaising directly with requesterAct as a member of location Safety Team and Incident Management TeamCollaborates with IT, Security and Safety specialists as requiredVisitors Management (issuance of visitor’s badge, maintain visitors log)Process Vendor Payment requestsManage Lost and Found, Subscriptions etc.Deputizes for Facilities Supervisor during absence (PTO, PTI etc.)

 

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor degree or Diploma, plus 2 to 3 years of general office experience. Good business English and general office practice skills are required.  Additionally, computer literacy with standard word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, and a typing skill at 50 words per minute, also preferred.
