Job Introduction:

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and being the friendly face that sets the tone for a positive experience? As a Receptionist at HMRC Manchester, you'll be delivering exceptional customer service and provide first-class support to both the Sodexo team and HMRC personnel. This role involves a mix of reception, administrative, and general support duties across the site.

What you’ll do:

Act as the first point of contact for visitors, handling calls, emails, and general enquiries.

Perform receptionist and administrative duties including filing, organising paperwork, and maintaining records.

Manage meeting room bookings via the internal Matrix system and support room set-ups as required.

Operate and assist with AV systems for meetings and conferences.

Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly and ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures.

Maintain high standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and uniform.

Support café operations and refill refreshment areas when required.

Work flexibly to cover holidays and absences when needed.

Liaise with the porterage and facilities teams via the internal radio system.

Provide outstanding customer service and assist in creating a welcoming environment.

What You Bring:

Essential:

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Awareness of Health & Safety and willingness to follow procedures at all times.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support shared goals.

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.

Desirable:

Experience in a similar front-of-house, receptionist, or administrative role.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities confidently.
