Job Description

The role of a receptionist is primarily focused on interacting with customers to provide information about products and services, as well as to handle and resolve complaints. The position involves determining clients' issues, offering possible solutions, and providing follow-up as needed. Responsibilities may include both inbound and outbound customer service tasks.

ResponsibilitiesResolve customer service or billing complaints by exchanging merchandise, refunding money, and adjusting bills.Contact customers to respond to inquiries or notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments.Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken.Essential SkillsCustomer service skillsExperience with inbound and outbound callsPhone experienceProficiency in computer skillsData entryProficiency with Microsoft OfficeAdditional Skills & QualificationsVerbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailInterpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyExperience with MS Outlook or data entry softwareHigh school diploma or GED preferred0-2 years of customer service-related experienceWork Environment

This role is based in an office environment with a new schedule from 2pm to 10:30pm. The organization offers opportunities for advancement into several other departments, providing a platform for career growth.

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
