Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in San Mateo, California. This position involves serving as the first point of contact for clients in a short-term housing facility, providing exceptional customer service and managing front desk operations. The ideal candidate will handle inbound calls, assist with inquiries, and ensure smooth day-to-day administrative support. Responsibilities: • Greet clients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment. • Answer and manage multi-line phone systems, including directing calls to the appropriate departments. • Handle inbound calls efficiently, addressing inquiries and providing accurate information. • Support administrative tasks such as maintaining records and managing scheduling. • Ensure the reception area is organized and presentable at all times. • Collaborate with team members to address client needs and resolve issues promptly. • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information. • Assist with the coordination of housing-related inquiries and services. • Provide timely updates and communication to management regarding client interactions. • Uphold company policies and procedures while delivering excellent customer service. Requirements • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred but not required. • Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and directing calls appropriately. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach. • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service. • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and scheduling software. • A detail-oriented approach and ability to maintain confidentiality. • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client needs.
