Your role as our Receptionist

The Receptionist will oversee the smooth running of the corporate office reception. The Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a manner that upholds Wesley Mission Queensland’s values.

This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, including greeting guests, handling incoming calls, managing correspondence, and other general housekeeping duties.

The role is a fixed-term part-time position working two days a week in office.

Key Role Accountabilities

Greet guests to the corporate office reception.

Assist members of the public with queries about Wesley Mission Queensland’s facilities, programs and services.

Receive and sort incoming mail and direct to the appropriate program or service.

General housekeeping duties as required including ensuring kitchen is appropriately catered, ordering stationary, arranging maintenance of office equipment, cash handling and use of EFTPOS machine.

Process bookings for UHL Hall, corporate meeting rooms and hot desk spaces.

Assist the Office of the CEO with projects as required

About You

Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including a commitment to superior customer service, maintaining confidentiality.

Strong organisational abilities, including demonstrated initiative, effective time management and the ability to work autonomously, prioritise and manage competing deadlines.

Demonstrated intermediate computer skills with solid understanding of Microsoft Office

Desirable

Experience in office reception or administration
