Responsible for receiving of all medical supplies for hospital.

Responsibilities

 

Receive and unpack materials and supplies against purchase orders (PO’s) for deliveryPrepare orders for return-to-vendor shipmentRecord shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availabilityReport damages and discrepancies to request reimbursement or re-shipmentMaintain logs of all shipments outgoing and incomingPrepare daily production and volume reports in order to measure productivity and prepare billing charges

 

Qualifications High school Diploma or equivalent0-1 year experience working in a shipping/receiving or professional office environmentSome knowledge of the jobModerate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the jobKnowledge & application of domestic and international shipping carriers, customs, duties and shipping regulations as well as internal tools used (e.g., scanning equipment, hot- synching of scanners, internal database tracking system, dollies and carts)Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a mustAbility to work overtime & meet deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift 40 lbsRepetitive motionReaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbsWalking, standing for extended periods of time
