Receiving officer

As the Receiving Officer at Hawar Resort, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort's receiving operations, including the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods and supplies. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality will ensure the efficient and effective management of the resort's inventory and supplies.

Key responsibilities: Receive and inspect incoming shipments of goods and supplies, ensuring that they meet quality and quantity specifications and are properly documented. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to schedule deliveries and resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments. Verify the accuracy of delivery invoices and packing slips against purchase orders and other documentation, and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Maintain accurate records of received goods, including quantities received, inspection results, and storage locations, and ensure that they are properly documented and archived. Ensure that received goods are properly stored and organized in designated storage areas, and that inventory levels are accurately recorded and updated in the inventory management system. Coordinate with the purchasing department and other internal stakeholders to manage inventory levels, track usage, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and storage areas to verify accuracy and compliance with inventory management policies and procedures. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to receiving operations and inventory management, and incorporate new knowledge into the resort's operations as appropriate. Liaise with the accounting department and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate recording and reporting of inventory transactions in the general ledger. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Proven experience in receiving or warehouse operations within the hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of receiving procedures and inventory management principles. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in received goods and documentation. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional information
