Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documents. Inspect materials for damage, discrepancies, or non-conformances and report any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor and Procurement department. Ensure proper documentation is completed for all received materials, including receiving reports and discrepancy reports. Accurately record all received materials in the inventory management system (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Coordinate with warehouse staff for the safe and efficient unloading and handling of incoming shipments. Ensure that received materials are properly labeled and stored in designated locations, adhering to safety and storage guidelines. Assist in the organization and maintenance of the receiving area. Maintain accurate and organized records of all receiving activities. Generate and distribute receiving reports to relevant departments. Assist in resolving discrepancies between purchase orders and received materials. Ensure proper filing of all receiving documents. Conduct visual inspections of incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards. Report any quality issues or concerns to the Quality Control department. Ensure that materials requiring inspection are quarantined until approved.Qualification Requirements:
bachelor’s degree or Diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Extensive experience with inventory management systems and software.Experience and Skills Requirements:
Significant experience (3+ years) in warehouse receiving, with a strong focus on supervisory roles Proven track record of managing receiving teams and processes. Relevant certifications in warehousing, logistics, or materials management. Demonstrated experience in a heavy industrial environment, ideally within the mining sector. Strong technical skills and background (mechanical, electrical, etc.) Strong motivational and empowerment skills in the team Strong communication skills: fluent French and English speaking, writing and reading. Knowledge of Lingala and Swahili is an addition to the profile Strong relationship and management skills Excellent computer skills Share knowledge with workmatesWhat We Can Offer You:
