What this job involves

This position supports a client site by managing all receiving, and mail operations while working with diverse internal and external stakeholders. The role requires handling shipments, coordinating courier services, and maintaining accurate records while providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Managing all mail and courier services including preparing packages, coordinating pick-up and delivery, and confirming receipt with appropriate stakeholdersHandling incoming and outgoing sensitive shipments with high accuracy and attention to detailDelivering packages to customer work areas or coordinating pick-up as neededMaintaining adequate inventory of shipping materials and supplies at all timesReporting defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor in a timely mannerKeeping work areas clean and orderly while following prescribed safety regulationsResolving shipping and receiving issues promptly while maintaining excellent customer service
 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Ability to lift 60 pounds repeatedly throughout the workdayMust be able to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency proceduresAbility to detect emergency alarms both auditory and visualWork in a fast-paced office environment with multiple prioritiesMay involve standing, walking, and moving packages throughout facility areasMust maintain awareness of safety regulations and emergency procedures
 

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of one year of relevant experience in shipping & receiving, logistics, or similar roleStrong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present information clearly and conciselyHigh degree of accuracy required for handling sensitive equipment and proper routing of shipmentsAbility to work effectively in fast-paced environment while managing multiple work streams and prioritiesStrong customer service and interpersonal skills
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operationsFamiliarity with shipping software systems or inventory management systemsBasic knowledge of shipping regulations and courier service proceduresExperience working in corporate office environments or client-facing rolesProblem-solving skills and ability to resolve shipping issues independentlyTime management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work demands
