Receiving Clerk

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Schedule:6:30-14:30

As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments and deliveries.

Every day you will verify contents against purchase orders, identify and report discrepancies or damages, and organize received goods for proper distribution or storage.

To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, efficient organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting smooth operations.

Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributors/vendors and assists in unloading shipments from delivery trucksUses dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around stockroomOpens boxes and inspects contents of shipments, contacting buyer to resolve shipment discrepancies and processing returns for any defective or incorrect itemsStores, restocks, and shelves delivery items as necessary and ensures that stockroom is clean and organizedProcesses transfers for shipments moving on to another locationMaintains records of all received shipment and contacts distributors/vendors directly or works with buyer to inquire about any shipment issues
Job Requirements

High School Graduate and Two (2) years supply chain related experience , upon hire orHigh School GED or other relevant experience, upon hire andIncumbents in his job will be grandfathered into educational requirements, upon hire andNone, upon hire
