Receiving Associate

Purpose and Summary
The Receiving Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and storage of incoming seed shipments. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, supporting warehouse operations, and upholding quality and safety standards. The role works closely with the Inventory Department to ensure real-time record accuracy and efficient product handling.
Essential Responsibilities
Inspect incoming seed shipments to verify weight, treatment specifications, and packaging standards. Accurately stack and label seed bags on pallets to ensure safe handling and traceability. Maintain precise inventory counts, ensuring consistency between physical receipts and shipping documentation. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with unloading deliveries and loading outbound shipments, adhering to safety protocols. Reconcile received goods with purchase orders, vendor shipping paperwork, and internal records. Report any discrepancies, damage, or quality concerns to the Inventory Department or supervisor promptly. Collaborate with the Inventory Department to maintain accurate and current stock records.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations preferred. Strong understanding of inventory control principles and attention to detail. Demonstrated abilities in communication, collaboration, and decision-making. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
