Raytheon’s Receiver Exciter and Back End Processing (REBP) Department is seeking an electrical engineering leader with experience in engineering management, design, test, and integration. The Section Leader will utilize advanced technical knowledge in Radar Receiver & Exciter Technology and understand the impact of this work on other areas of the organization. The candidate should demonstrate organizational, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
This 1st shift position will be 100% onsite and based in either Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA.
Section Leader Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Manage a section of 15 to 20 engineers.
Provide career and technical mentoring.
Support hiring goals and building high performance teams.
Mentor and develop junior staff.
Support employee performance, career development, and growth throughout the year.
Technical problem solving, project leadership, proposal writing, pursuing new business, leader of development teams, and lead organizational initiatives.
Work closely with other section leaders, the department leader, business units, program offices, senior leaders, senior staff engineers, and other development team members.
Communicate organizational goals and other pertinent information through monthly team meetings.
Modeling and Driving Raytheon Values and Behaviors.
Engineering Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Lead and support Receiver/Exciter product development, transition to production and integration activities.
Design and development of receivers, or exciters.
Participate in hardware design reviews.
Technical leadership during the transition to production and support to production activities.
Lead functional and cross-disciplinary teams to meet organizational goals.
Cost and schedule management.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 10 years of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum 7 years of prior work experience.
Experience with Microwave/RF system, Mixed Signal subsystem hardware analysis, design, test and integration.
Experience working on designs from concept through production.
Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Previous management experience.
Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, CST, and/or Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition) and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB).
Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications.
Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle.
Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, which includes yield and margin analysis.
Development of technical proposals, engineering project estimates, and/or white papers.
Experience creating and presenting professional design documentation to company leadership and program customers.
Experience with manpower planning, staffing and Earned Value Management Systems.
Technical background in any of the following areas:
Mixed Signal & Digital circuit design, integration & test
RF Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning
Circuit card assembly and fabrication
High speed data converter test and characterization
Low Noise RF source design and test experience

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
