Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement and quality strategy including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Deploy and lead projects to improve and sustain local business performance. Assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. Collaborate with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.
The work model for the role is: ONSITE
This role is contributing to the ABB Smart Power division in Dallas, TX.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Supports the deployment of strategy and objectives for quality management including overseeing the local ISO certification in collaboration with the 3PL; Share and follow quality issues/performance with feeder factories and vendors.
Supports the team with respect to quality management-related content, tools, and systems; Supports specific communication relevant to quality management; Supports local organization by providing specific training material and training sessions.
Assists in continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management; Performs audits to assess compliance; Uses quality data analytics to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances.
Acts as a local process owner for defined quality-related processes, systems, or tools, including defining and documenting plans, implementing and communicating actions, supervising and controlling progress, and driving continuous process improvement.

Qualifications for the role
Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field PLUS minimum 8 years experience in the following: Continuous Improvement, Quality Assurance & Excellence, Data Analysis & Reporting, ISO Knowledge and understanding
