Location: Colorado Springs, CO Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week Contract Length: Remainder of the 2025–2026 School Year Start Date: ASAP Position Type: Registered Behavior Technician (School-Based)
About the Role
Academy School District 20 is seeking a dedicated Registered/Certified Behavior Technician to support students with special needs in achieving their educational and behavioral goals. In this role, you will:
+ Provide one-on-one and classroom-based behavioral support
+ Assist with implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies
+ Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and behavioral specialists
+ Support students in meeting individualized learning and behavioral objectives
This position plays a key role in fostering a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Minimum Requirements
+ Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or State Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) license (as required by state/contract)
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ One to two years of relevant experience preferred
+ Associate degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per state or contract regulations)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
