Raw Materials and Finished Goods Planner

About the role

 

Responsible for the planning and forecasting of activities related to in house production. Optimize constraints, work with the internal team as well as all Supply Chain members on planned capacity. Maximize resources and minimize inventory, maintain a high delivery performance. Coordinating activities between customer service, Subcontractor, Barry Callebaut (BC) planning teams and transportation of all activities. Is cognizant and understanding of food safety and ensures, along with BC QA that all these expectations are met. Responsible for the Planning flows and is alert when changes happen planned or unplanned by scheduling finished goods, semi-finished products, raw materials and packaging. Releases raw materials and packaging from our contracted suppliers. Systems are used and data is the key to making proper decisions. Demonstrate ownership of all planning activities and assist with innovation/new partner/new projects.

 

Key responsibilities

 

Monitor daily line schedules and material flows, ensuring smooth coordination across the BC network. Maintain strong cross‑functional collaboration to align planning with multidisciplinary teams. Manage material deliveries to maximize OTIF performance. Convert mid‑term plans into daily schedules and support team execution. Provide accurate product availability dates to sales and customer service. Record, communicate, and follow up on non‑conforming products in SAP. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory activities to meet year‑end targets. Report quality issues to BC and third‑party QA teams and escalate supplier issues to sourcing. Manage internal and external product returns and keep sourcing or planning updated on changes. Participate in planning meetings, coordinate overtime when needed, and communicate relevant updates across customer service, traffic, quality, and production.

 

About you

 

Associates degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience in a food environment. Experience working in SAP and MRP, as well as proven math skill. Computer Skills (Proficient use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, SAP, VMware) Detail & results oriented Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, managing many moving pieces and wearing many different ‘hats’ Ability to work with deadlines Works well in a team as well as independently Adaptability Effective Team Leadership Ability to evaluate priorities and react as issues arise

The base rate of pay for this role is $64,000 to $78,000/yearly CAD. This salary represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time. Salary will vary based on knowledge, skills and abilities.
