Rail Transportation Billing Specialist - Decatur, IL
This is a full time, non-exempt position.
Position Summary:
The Rail Transportation Billing Specialist will play a critical role in ADM’s Rail Transportation team. Responsibilities for this position will include preparation of railcar bill of ladings for grain shipments. The successful candidate should have a desire to learn various functions within the transportation department and ability to adapt to a changing environment. The Rail Transportation Billing Specialist will interact with a diverse work force including internal colleagues and outside suppliers and railroads. This position allows for remote work 4 out of 5 business days after a 6-month training period. It requires the flexibility to be on-call after regular business hours including nights, weekends and holidays. “On-call” work is done on a rotating basis shared with other colleagues and is remote.
Job responsibilities:Problem solve to resolve discrepanciesAccurate Data EntryWork in ERGB, IBM, RMS and various rail road websitesMeet deadlinesWork with internal and external resources to ensure accuracy of rail documentationOn time execution of orders, meeting various deadlines for different ADM facilitiesPreparation of rail bill of ladingsRail diversions and tracingUpdating car shipmentsCross train on other responsibilities within the team as neededJob Requirements:Must be able to work after normal business hours– nights, weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule (remotely on-call basis)Team playerAbility to multitask and prioritizeStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prioritize and function under time constraints while meeting deadlinesAttention to details2-5 years of office experienceAssociates degree or higher education a plusTransportation experience or experience with ERGB and IMS systems is desired but not required.Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
