Airswift is looking for a Rail Operations Coordinator to support a major client in Houston, TX on a 12-month assignment

Seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Rail Operations Coordinator to support the management and optimization of its bulk liquids rail fleet. This role involves daily tracking, vendor coordination, data analysis, and operational support across a diverse portfolio of products including crude oil, refined products, NGLs, and specialty feedstocks.
Responsibilities: Track and trace rail fleet equipment daily using Intellitrans and railroad systems. Ensure shipment data is accurately populated, and cars are allocated appropriately. Communicate proactively with railroads to resolve service issues (First Mile/Last Mile). Generate bills of lading, diversions, and reships as needed. Assist in resolving EDI billing issues and data discrepancies. Support rail fleet management at storage facilities. Develop and manage reports for pipeline visibility and regulatory compliance. Analyze rail movement data to identify trends, cost drivers, and optimization opportunities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and organizational ability. Experience with rail tracking systems (e.g., Intellitrans) and logistics coordination. Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights. Familiarity with bulk liquids transportation and rail operations.
Preferred: Experience in oil & gas, energy, or chemical logistics. Knowledge of EDI systems and billing processes. Background in supply chain, transportation, or fleet management.
