Work Schedule:

20 hours per week, with several shift options available! 5-, 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available, with possible opportunities to work shorter shifts, as well! Rotating daylight and evening shifts between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Rotating Saturdays (12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) and Sundays (10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) factored into schedule. No major holidays or overnight hours required!

Locations:

Children’s North (Wexford), Children’s South (Bridgeville), Children’s East (Monroeville), Children’s West (Moon), Children’s Express Care Cranberry (UPMC Lemieux Center), and Children’s West Mifflin. The Radiology (Diagnostic, X-Ray) Techs will have a “home” location based on their address, and will travel to select additional local sites up to 50% of the time. Free parking at all locations!

Responsibilities:

Performs diagnostic radiography and other procedures utilizing established protocols/procedures. Properly identifies all patients by using two patient identifiers. Reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required. Administers PO/enteral and rectal contrast per physician orders. Ensure exams are coded, tracked, networked, and charged correctly. Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data. Interacts with patients and co-workers with care, dignity, and respect. Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient’s fears and solicit their cooperation.
