Work Schedule:

Rotating daylight and evening shifts between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. NO major holidays or overnight shifts required! Rotating Saturdays (12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) and Sundays (10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.).

Locations:

Children’s North (Wexford), Children’s South (Bridgeville), Children’s East (Monroeville), Children’s West (Moon), Children’s Express Care Cranberry (UPMC Lemieux Center), and Children’s West Mifflin. The Radiology (Diagnostic, X-Ray) Techs will have a “home” location based on their address, and will travel to select additional local sites up to 50% of the time. Responsibilities:

Properly identifies all patients by using two patient identifiers. Reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required. Administers PO/enteral and rectal contrast per physician orders. Ensure exams are coded, tracked, networked, and charged correctly. Performs diagnostic radiography and other procedures utilizing established protocols/procedures. Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data. Interacts with patients and co-workers with care, dignity, and respect. Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient’s fears and solicit their cooperation.
