You'll prepare and perform standard x-ray examinations, and may also perform fluoroscopic and surgical x-ray procedures, always utilizing proper positioning and selecting appropriate technical factors to achieve optimal results. Your daily impact will include integrating previous imaging studies and patient history to optimize exams, providing clear patient education, and adapting to patient care needs as they arise. Our comprehensive total rewards package includes: + Low-cost full medical, dental, and vision coverage + 403b retirement plan with employer base and matching contributions + Generous paid time off + Employer-paid life and disability insurance with additional buy-up options + Tuition and continuing education reimbursement + Wellness benefits + Expanded Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and mental health program **Key Responsibilities: What You'll Do** + Prepare, supply, and equip exam rooms to meet the needs of requested examinations and physician requirements. + Organize daily work schedules and perform related clerical duties. + Integrate patient information, previous imaging studies, and lab results to optimize exams. + Determine and perform the most appropriate examination based on patient information, consulting with physicians as needed. + Provide clear patient education and instruction before and after examinations. + Train and educate staff and students as indicated. + Adapt exams to address patient care problems, making appropriate decisions to resolve them. + Perform x-ray examinations applying appropriate infection control and radiation safety measures, always adhering to the ALARA principle. + Evaluate patients for pregnancy prior to exams as indicated. + May perform surgical x-ray examinations, adhering to AORN standards. + Perform other patient care activities and duties consistent with your scope of practice, training, experience, and license/certification/registration. **Skills & Qualifications: Who You Are** **Education:** **Required:** Graduation from an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology. **Experience:** + Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred. + Required: PACS/RIS knowledge. + Required: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development to meet each patient’s need. **Credentials:** + Required: Radiology Technologist - Washington. + Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support (BLS). + ARRT (R) certification. _Recent Graduates (within 30 days of graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program): ARRT eligible, ARRT(R) certification required within 3 months of hire.
