We're seeking a full-time (0.90 FTE, day position) Radiology Technologist to join our team in Longview, Washington. _We welcome new grads!_ **About the Role** As a Radiology Technologist at PeaceHealth, you'll play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging. You'll be responsible for preparing and performing standard x-ray examinations, and may also perform fluoroscopic and surgical x-ray procedures. We're looking for someone who can skillfully utilize various radiographic equipment, apply proper positioning, and select appropriate technical factors to ensure optimal results. You'll work closely with patients, integrating their history and medical records to tailor examinations, provide clear education, and adapt to their needs as they arise. Your commitment to patient safety, including adherence to ALARA principles and infection control measures, will be paramount. Enjoy a consistent schedule of **Sunday, Monday, and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.** This set schedule offers the fantastic benefit of four consecutive days off during the week, providing an excellent work-life balance that allows for personal appointments, family time, or extended adventures! **Compensation and Benefits** We believe in supporting our caregivers' overall well-being – physical, emotional, financial, social, and spiritual. **The salary range for this position is $35.20 – $53.11 per hour.** The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. As a PeaceHealth caregiver, you'll receive a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package that includes: + Low-cost full medical, dental, and vision coverage + 403b retirement plan with employer base and matching contributions + Generous paid time off + Employer-paid life and disability insurance with additional buy-up options + Tuition and continuing education reimbursement + Wellness benefits + Expanded Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and mental health programs **Your Key Responsibilities** + Prepare, supply, and equip exam rooms to meet examination and physician requirements. + Organize daily work schedules and perform related clerical duties. + Integrate previous imaging studies, lab results, patient history, and medical records to optimize exams. + Perform appropriate examinations based on patient information, consulting with physicians as needed. + Provide clear patient education and instruction before and after examinations. + Adapt exams to address patient care problems and make appropriate decisions for resolution. + Perform x-ray examinations applying proper infection control and radiation safety measures, including ALARA principles. + Evaluate patients for pregnancy before exams as indicated. + Potentially perform surgical x-ray examinations, adhering to AORN standards and radiation safety measures. + Perform other patient care activities and duties consistent with your scope of practice, training, and licensure. **Skills and Qualifications You'll Bring** Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology is required. Experience: + Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred. + Required knowledge of PACS/RIS. + Demonstrated knowledge and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development to meet each patient's needs.
