This position is in a supportive Primary Care environment with excellent teamwork between providers and Radiology Technicians.
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week on a rotating basis
Schedule A: 6:45 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Schedule B: 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Weekends/Holidays: Weekend and holiday rotation is required; staff are scheduled to work two holidays per year.
What You’ll Do
Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including diagnostic and surveillance X-rays following provider ordersPrepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safetyOperate and maintain imaging equipment, performing quality control checks as requiredReview and verify provider orders and patient information to ensure accuracy and completeness of imaging proceduresExplain procedures to patients and address any concerns or questions to alleviate anxietyCollaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide accurate diagnostic informationMaintain detailed records of imaging procedures and patient interactionsAdhere to safety protocols and radiation protection standards to minimize exposure for patients and staffAssist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow, as neededReceives and stores incoming supplies Maintains inventory of supplies and records Other duties as assignedWhat You’ll Bring
Documentation of state license/registration (e.g. copy of actual license, verification of license, or email including license number) (if applicable) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certificate (if applicable) CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on" evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted.
