Job Summary and Responsibilities

Provides technical expertise in Diagnostic Radiographic procedures. Under the direction of a registered radiology technologist in accordance with the mission and philosophy of the CHI St Alexius Medical Center.

Successfully performs clinical procedures while working with a registered technologistFollows established radiation safety protocols for patient and staffDemonstrates professional practice standardsProvides appropriate patient care for all Radiology patient needsAssists with the department standards for Radiology equipment 

Job Requirements

Current enrollment as a second year student of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.  Must meet school of radiology program competencies for all routine radiographic procedures and specialty work.

Certification: Basic Life Support Certification (CPR- Healthcare Provider) within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required.

Licensure:Not applicable for enrolled students.  Pursuing registry through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.  (Student is registry eligible after completing an approved Radiologic Technology program)
