Radiology Manager
Onamia, MN, USA | Salary | 108,118.40-152,177.60 per year | Full Time Summary Oversee daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care. Manage modalities including CT, ultrasound, X-ray, portable X-ray, mammography, DEXA scans, EKG oversight, Holter monitors, and radiology procedures, while coordinating with partner vendors providing mobile MRI and nuclear medicine diagnostics. Key responsibilities include staff scheduling, training, recruitment, equipment maintenance, acquisition, budget oversight and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. As a working manager, lead by example, mentor staff, and step in during high-demand or emergency situations. Collaborate with hospital staff, vendors, and regional partners to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and radiation safety standards. Engage with the rural community to promote services and address local needs. Utilize imaging software, EHR, and reporting systems for operational efficiency and compliance. Requires strong problem-solving, crisis management, and adaptability to rural healthcare challenges, with a commitment to professional development and regulatory updates. Required Education and Experience + Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Certifications required: + Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. + Additional certifications in specific modalities (e.g., CT, mammography, or MRI) are a plus. + 5–7 years of experience in radiologic technology or diagnostic imaging, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a healthcare setting is preferred. Preferred Education and Experience + 7+ years of progressive experience in radiology, including 3–5 years in a managerial role overseeing multiple imaging modalities. Experience in a rural healthcare system and with vendor coordination (e.g., mobile MRI/nuclear medicine) is highly desirable. Additional Eligibility Qualifications + Proven ability to manage staff scheduling, training, and recruitment. + Experience with budget oversight, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance (e.g., Joint Commission, state health regulations). + Familiarity with imaging software (e.g., PACS, RIS), EHR systems, and quality assurance processes. + Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with hospital staff, vendors, and rural communities. + Demonstrated problem-solving and crisis management in high-pressure healthcare environments. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 40-hour work week over 5 days. Will have opportunity to flex time based on unit needs and oversight of this 24-hour department.
