Radiology Imaging Operations Supervisor - Diagnostic Radiology - Day
**Schedule** Full Time, Day Shift (80 hours biweekly) Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm **General Summary** Supervises personnel and assists in managing the Imaging Department daily operations. Provides imaging services. Performs duties as on call team leader and is able to train new staff. **Essential Functions:** + Evaluates, for effectiveness, all services rendered and makes recommendations regarding addition and deletion of service. + Develops and oversees departmental policies, philosophy, plan, goals and objectives. + Maintains drug control for department, in conjunction with Pharmaceutical Services. + Provides in service education for technologist and participates in instruction **Common Expectations:** + Selects, trains/orients, assigns department staff, evaluates performance, and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Prepares work assignments and weekly schedule for imaging technologists. + Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s). + Responsible for the care and maintenance of department/entity equipment and supplies. + Ensures that preventative maintenance is performed according to the established schedule. + Manages resources within budgetary guidelines.
