Job Summary
The Radiology Assistant supports the daily operations of the imaging department by assisting technologists, preparing patients for procedures, maintaining equipment and supply areas, and performing basic administrative duties. This role contributes to efficient workflow and high-quality patient care by ensuring readiness of imaging spaces, supporting patient comfort and safety, and facilitating communication among the radiology team and other departments.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in a clinical or imaging setting preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic understanding of imaging procedures and patient care practices.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical computer systems.Knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures in a clinical setting.Licenses and Certifications
BCLS - Basic Life Support obtained within 30 days of hire requiredCNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred orCertified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA preferred orCPCA - Certified Patient Care Assistant preferred orCertified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) preferred orEMT - Emergency Medical Tech Certification preferred orLPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure preferred
