Radiologic Technologist Orthopedics

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Responsible for performing all general radiologic procedures with moderate supervision.

Performs exams based on skeletal anatomy and patient habitusAssists radiologist in performance of Fluoro proceduresPerforms radiologic exams in all areas of the hospital. Interdepartmentally, Portables, Surgery, Litho, ER/TraumaPrepares patients for and performs catheterization for urinary studies: VCUG, Urethrogram, CystogramEvaluates and communicates patient history to radiologist in preparation for IV contrastAssists Imaging Support in locating films, printing reports and assisting physiciansCompletes hospital/departmental forms per protocolMaintains the integrity of a sterile field during procedures that call for such precautions: Surgery, PICC Lines, Urinary, Catheterization
Job Requirements

Required

Completion of approved American College of Radiology: Radiologic Technologist Program

Twelve months radiology experience

Medical Radiographer: AZ (MRAD:AZ) 

Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT

Basic Life Support - CPR
