**Responsibilities** **Position Responsibilities:** + Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history. + Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation. + Performs portable examinations + Ensures that patient orientation, patient preparation (including starting IV’s and drawing labs as necessary) + Provides specific diagnostic test information to the patient ensuring that the patient is aware of the test involved **Qualifications** **Education:** Associate’s Degree Required **Licensure/Certification:** Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (R); must maintain current Certified by Texas Department of Health as Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist – MRT; must maintain current CPR/BLS certification **Minimum Experience:** One (1) year of experience \#hiring #jobs #healthcare #tech #radtech **Overview** **Radiologic Technologist II** **This is a PRN role. Individual Maintains patient safety through attention to detail, equipment safety checks, adherence to department policies, and with effective communication with physicians, staff and patients. Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test. Performs complete diagnostic imaging exams inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings. Assists patients with basic patient care needs.
