Job Overview:

The Radiologic Technologist performs proper radiographic procedures as required by physician orders. Provides patient service using diagnostic, portable and fluoroscopic equipment. The technologist is competent in the production of quality radiographs for proper treatment and diagnosis by the physician. Assist radiologists with special examinations.

Required:

Graduate of approved School of Radiologic TechnologyNJ LicensureARRT CertificationBLS through American Heart Association

Essential Functions:

Assist radiologist with special examinationsDemonstrate competency with the use of RIS and PACSEmploy professional judgment and discretion while performing all imaging proceduresMaintain clean examination rooms and work environment in all areasMaintain proper maintenance of CR cassettes. Report cassettes needing repairMaintain stock levels in all procedure roomsReport all equipment problems to the supervisor and enter an LT work order as appropriateUse RadCode for interventional billing related to the section (modality) specific proceduresUtilize principles of radiation protection for self and patients for every examinationUtilize proper positioning and technical factors to assure diagnostic quality images for interpretationUtilizes all components of the RIS Mammography Module for entering new and follow-up patient information
