Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to join our Radiology Department at BSW Round Rock Medical Center. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging for both ambulatory and hospital patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform X-ray exams following physician orders and established imaging protocols, ensuring accurate diagnostic results and exceptional patient care.
What You’ll Do
Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology (X-ray) procedures according to established protocols.
Maintain consistent imaging quality, proper positioning, and accurate exposure techniques.
Communicate with patients using AIDET principles to build rapport and ensure comfort.
Prepare exam rooms and position patients correctly for safe and effective imaging.
Adhere to all radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique policies.
Monitor and maintain imaging equipment; report issues promptly and ensure full operational readiness.
Manage documentation including requisitions, patient history, and exam records in PACS and EMR systems.
Ensure patient safety through proper screening, pregnancy verification, and shielding practices.
Provide timely, accurate, and patient-centered service in a fast-paced environment.
Participate in call rotation as needed.

RequirementsEducation: Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program
Experience: Less than 1 year required; hospital experience preferred
Certification/Licensure:
ARRT (R) – Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography
Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills
Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in high-volume environments
