Position Overview

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) to join our Imaging team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – College Station. This weekday-only role offers a consistent Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. schedule, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative hospital environment focused on high-quality patient care.

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures that support accurate diagnosis and treatment while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

 

What You’ll Do

Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology (X-ray) procedures according to established exam protocols.

Maintain image quality, proper positioning, and correct exposure factors for accurate interpretation.

Demonstrate understanding of radiation dose reference levels, dose monitoring, and required follow-up actions.

Utilize AIDET communication to ensure correct exams are performed and patients feel informed and at ease.

Prepare and position patients using immobilization devices and appropriate exposure techniques.

Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique policies.

Maintain imaging equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards.

Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Verify requisitions, patient history, pregnancy screening, shielding precautions, and consent documentation.

Accurately document exams and maintain records in PACS and EMR systems.

Assist with inventory management and report equipment or workflow issues as needed.

Participate in call coverage, if required.

Qualifications

Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program

ARRT (R) – Radiography certification required

Texas Medical Board (MRT) license required

BLS Certification within 30 days of hire

Less than one year of experience required (hospital experience preferred)
