Job Summary

Cooley Dickinson is the hospital where Radiologic/Bone Densitometry Technologist can grow and accelerate their careers. We are seeking professionals who are committed to the highest quality patient care and will contribute to our on-going pursuit of excellence. The Radiology/Bone Densitometry Technologist performs all of the functions of the Radiologic Technologist, with a focus on bone densitometry. The Bone Densitometry Technologist works under the general supervision of a physician to perform DXA scans of spine, hip, forearm, whole body, and vertebral fracture assessment (VFA).


 

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required. For those candidates who meet requirements of licensing and registration agencies and have been grandfathered by those agencies, Associate’s degree requirement may be waived, but a high school diploma or equivalent is required • Current licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Radiologic Technologist and ARRT registration required • ISCD or ARRT certification for Bone Densitometry required within one year of hire; credentialing in Nuclear Medicine Technology through ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) meets the ARRT supporting category prerequisite to train and work in Bone Densitometry and to become registry eligible • Current CPR certification required • 1 year of experience preferred; technologists must be trained and capable of handling patients completely from invitro through adult
