As a Radiation Therapist, you will provide therapeutic and patient care services to support the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by a physician. Working closely with oncologists and medical dosimetrists, you will implement treatment plans and operate specialized equipment to ensure precise and compassionate care for patients. **A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists. + Monitor and document patient's condition and report any adverse reactions. + Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols. + Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately. + Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of a CAHEA approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology or registry eligible + Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)(T)(ARRT)] in good standing. + Current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist + Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Experience with radiation oncology specific electronic medical records Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Experience with external Radiation Therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT simulation Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
