Job Summary and Responsibilities
What you will do:
Greets patient utilizing AIDET, verifies patient in identification, reviews chart for proper radiation treatment parameters and physician prescriptionsInforms patients and families about the treatment process and answers questionsPrepares patients for treatment. Positions equipment according to planTakes portal films or IGRT scans to ensure treatment protocols are accurately set up and followed Verifies proper dosage of ionizing radiation for patient as prescribed by physician Monitors patient throughout treatment process by checking video monitors and intercom Informs physician anytime patient experiences distress or side effects related to treatment processRecords each patients’ treatment in EMR and proper notes for accurate treatment and set-upMaintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the filed by reading appropriate journals, books, and other literature and attending related seminars, conferences and education opportunitiesJob Requirements
Education
Satisfactory completion of a JRCERT accredited Radiation Therapy ProgramLicenses & Certifications
ARRT (T) boards completion within in 6 month of hireBLS from the American Heart Association required upon hireKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
