As a Radiation Therapist, you will implement prescribed treatments to patients with various forms of cancer. Every day, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and their families, all while gaining hands-on experience in a technologically advanced and fast-paced healthcare environment. **A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide therapeutic and patient care services to deliver radiation therapy as prescribed by a physician. + Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist. + Monitor and document patient's condition, report any adverse reactions. + Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols. + Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately. + Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Board certified Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), R.T.(R)(T)(ARRT) in good standing + Current state licensure + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Experience with Radiation Oncology and specific electronic medical records Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Experience with External Radiation Therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT Simulation Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Ability to push/pull over 100 lbs. Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions. + Safe Operating Procedure for x-ray generating equipment. + Ability to work the hours of operation - flexible.
