As a Radiation Therapist, you will implement prescribed treatments to patients with various forms of cancer. In this role, your work is an essential element of our innovative care plan designed to aid the cancer fighting journey. Every day, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and their families, all while gaining hands-on experience in a technologically advanced and fast-paced healthcare environment. **A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide therapeutic and patient care services to deliver radiation therapy as prescribed by a physician. + Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist. + Monitor and document patient's condition, report any adverse reactions. + Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols. + Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately. + Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Board certified Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), R.T.(R)(T)(ARRT) in good standing + Current state licensure + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Experience with Radiation Oncology and specific electronic medical records Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Experience with External Radiation Therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT Simulation Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Ability to push/pull over 100 lbs. Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions. + Safe Operating Procedure for x-ray generating equipment. + Ability to work the hours of operation - flexible.
