GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision administers radiation treatments to patients, as prescribed by the physician, utilizing specialized equipment including

·       Linear accelerator,·       High Dose Rate (HDR) After loader,·       Computed Tomography.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree preferred. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

A.R.R.T. Radiation Therapy Technology Certification or registry eligibleMust meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS’ Customer Service Policy

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.Lifting of patients, moving & pushing wheelchairs / stretchers and lifting of equipment, above head, up to 50lbs.Potential exposure to radiation; however, adherence to safety procedures minimizes likelihood of danger.Frequent interaction with emotionally depressed and terminally/critically ill patients.
