Department: Radiation Oncology - VanElslander Cancer Center - Grosse Pointe Woods
FULL TIME- Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30 pm- NO weekends or major holidays
We are seeking a compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our dedicated oncology team at the Ven Elslander Cancer Center in Grosse Pointe. Our practice is equipped with advanced technologies including a GE CT Simulator, Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator with Identify, and the Varian Ethos Adaptive Therapy System. We provide a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care with a multidisciplinary support system.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by Radiation Oncologists with a strong emphasis on patient safety and accuracy.
· Operate and maintain equipment including GE CT Simulator, TrueBeam, and Ethos systems.
· Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
· Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and team members.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain accurate patient records in ARIA.
· Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous learning initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
· Certified and licensed by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
· Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
· Proficiency in ARIA radiation oncology software.
· Experience with advanced technologies including TrueBeam and Ethos preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation.
Responsibilities:
Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic parameters accurately.Delivers appropriate patient treatment plan in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist.Maintains detailed records of all therapy sessions.Maintains and adjusts necessary equipment, including linear accelerator.Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.z
