Job Summary:\rThis position may work in one of the following modalities: Diagnostic, CT, IR, Mammography, MRI, or Nuclear Medicine.\rDuties will be consistent with the modality in which incumbent will be working. Candidates must meet the requirements\rof the modality in which they will be working. This position will report to the modality manager.\rCore Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\rDemonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of assigned modality imaging while adhering to\rdepartment protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients,\rself and others.\rPerforms imaging exams consistent to assigned modality in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for\rtechnical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper patient identification is recorded.\rProvides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures\rand exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.\rApplies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to\remergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique and\rhand washing policies.\rAssists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.\rOther duties as assigned.\rPerforms other duties as assigned\rComplies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.\rRequired Minimum Education:High School Diploma General or GED GeneralAccredited Program Radiologic Technology\r\rRequired Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):\rAll certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.ARRT-R - ARRT RadiographyBLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support\rAdditional License(s) and Certification(s):\rRequired Minimum Experience:\rMinimum 1 year Experience in Radiology Preferred\rRequired Minimum Skills:\rAbility to operate appropriate modality imaging equipment based on department\rAbility to communicate verbally and written\rPossess excellent patient/customer service skills
