**Racker** **Job Description** Join a large metal finishing facility in Newport Beach, CA as a Racker in the anodizing department. This role involves supporting the anodize department and other processes by preparing parts for operators, racking and un-racking, surface preparation, and visual inspection of parts. **Responsibilities** + Provide support to the anodize department and related processes. + Rack and un-rack parts efficiently. + Prepare parts for processing with attention to detail. + Inform management of any quality issues observed. + Perform in-process visual inspections. + Assist with racking while following all safety policies and procedures. + Conduct receiving inspections, including counting and visual inspection. + Maintain a clean and organized department daily. + Process parts in accordance with customer requirements, procedures, and work instructions to achieve part conformity. **Essential Skills** + Inspection and production skills. + General labor proficiency. + Racking and packing expertise. + Material handling capabilities. + Part preparation and visual inspection skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic blueprint reading skills with a willingness to learn. + Good communication skills. + Ability to read and write in English. + Legible handwriting. + Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously. + Proficiency in using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages. + Basic computer skills. + Basic mathematics skills. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy ample overtime hours and growth potential into other departments. **Work Environment** The facility consists of six different buildings, each with various metal finishing steps. Certain departments can be loud and may have strong chemical odors. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr.
