About the role   TheDow Chemical Companyhas an exciting job opportunity as aPackStudios Warehouse and Logistics TechnologistinFreeport, TX.  The primary job responsibilities will be to help manage warehouse activities, to assist Plastics TS&D NA personnel in the planning, ordering and movement of raw materials (primarily polymers) to enable their testing and evaluation on various plastics fabrication equipment. The employee will be expected to maintain and control an inventory of standard polymers and additives and monitor all materials’ location in the various warehouses - and usage patterns to ensure availability when needed. This person will be responsible for creating a roll inventory for films produced at pack studios. These tasks require an acute attention to detail, a passion for organization, and strong written/verbal communication skills.   DUTIES: + Establish and maintain inventory control systems for all resins, rolls and additives; always keep inventory current + Responsible for ensuring appropriate resin is delivered to lines each day + Establish and maintain designated work areas and arrange as needed; always ensure orderly and safe conditions + Ensure proper working condition of work areas, fork trucks, vehicles, and equipment; arrange for repairs/replacements as needed + Responsible to ensure accurate and timely shipping and receiving of all resins and fabricated articles + Recommend improved methods, records, etc. to enhance quality and efficiency + Arrange for regular removal and recycling of appropriate production boxes, plastics, paper, etc. + Perform other duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by Supervisor. Qualifications + A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. An associate’s degree in relevant field OR 4+ years military experience preferred. + 1 or more years of warehouse experience preferred + Experience operating forklifts strongly preferred. + Must have a current, valid US driver’s license + Must be 18 years of age or older + Must be able to read, write, and speak English + Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and can learn new systems quickly + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills + Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence + A self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks + A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Physical Requirements + Must be willing and able to work in such environments with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds + Must be willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes + Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and working high off the ground + Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time + Must be willing to work outdoors Skills + Inventory Management & Logistics – Maintain and track resins, rolls, and additives; ensure timely shipping/receiving. + Forklift Operation & Physical Stamina – Operate forklifts; lift 25kg bags; work in physically demanding warehouse settings. + Organizational & Time Management – Prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain orderly work areas. + Digital Literacy – Use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and adapt to new inventory systems. + Communication & Interpersonal Skills – Communicate clearly with teams and maintain a customer-ready environment. + Safety & Compliance Awareness – Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace. + Proactive Problem Solving – Identify issues, recommend improvements, and take initiative.
