R&D Technician
The R&D Technician I provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks such as building and testing devices used for mechanical thrombectomy. Additionally, the Technician develops procedures, test methods and prepares technical reports. In this role you will interact very closely with engineers and other technicians towards development of next generation devices. This role is on-site in Irvine, CA. First shift; Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00, with some flexibility. **What You Will Do:** + Assemble prototypes/products as per instructions of lead engineer. + Test prototypes per engineering instructions and documenting associated test results. + Develop build protocols and test procedures, with support of project engineers. + Assist engineering teams to obtain supplies and services. + Communicate assignment status to project engineers. + Train others on new product processes and procedures. + Build quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements. **What You Need:** Required: + High School Diploma or GED + 2+ years work experience Preferred **:** + Hands on with a ‘can do’ attitude. + Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with others in a highly dynamic R&D environment. + Technical work experience in medical device development (R&D experience preferable). + Experience with common building and/or test equipment commonly used in catheter manufacturing (e.g. lamination machine, hotbox, tipping and flaring, leak testers, Instron etc) + Two-year Technical Degree or certificate $28.23 - $38.74 hourly plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Pay rate will not be below any applicable local minimum wage rates.
