R&D Tech II, Product testing

R&D Test Technician role focused on mechanical and electrical testing of medical products using semi-automated test equipment.

Job Requirements

AA degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline (assembler, operator, test technician).

Minimum 1 year of directly related experience.

4-year degree applicants (Engineering) not considered for this role.

Experience operating complex equipment or test instrumentation.

Proficiency with PCs, including Word, Excel, and file management.

Preferred Skills

Experience with tensile testers and mechanical test systems (pull, flex, torque, extension/retraction).

Experience with microscopes for visual inspection and measurement.

Experience with electrical measurement tools (voltage, current, resistance, continuity).

Prior exposure to R&D testing environments.

Experience working with medical products such as leads and catheters.

Job Responsibilities

Perform primarily mechanical testing (pull, flex, torque, extension/retraction) on medical devices and components.

Conduct high-voltage and high-current electrical tests as required.

Set up and run semiautomated test systems according to established protocols.

Perform R&D testing on medical products (leads/catheters), including x-ray, tensile, fatigue, and electrical tests.

Record test data accurately and maintain organized test files and reports in electronic systems.

Configure test setups based on written instructions, drawings, and procedures.

Support a mix of repetitive and varied test assignments based on skills and demonstrated capability.

Pay: 25-29

Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
