Responsibilities The Opportunity This role will assist the Ingredient Specification Management team located in the Mexico Capability Center to ensure exceptional service is provided in support of R&D Spec Management globally. This role will apply technical expertise and coordinate with in-market and MCC employees, as well as external resources when required, to develop clear and concise Ingredient specifications, maintain existing specs and supplier relationships, and manage tracking and uploading into relevant systems. Your Impact As R&D Specification Management Analyst your functions would consist of: Develop or update ingredient specifications using internal and external resources, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and compliant from spec readiness to supplier commercial approval. Learn, understand, and uphold Ingredient, Supplier, Third Party, and Formula Standards. Maintain and foster relationships with in-market and global R&D teams, as well as external suppliers. Coordinate with various functions (PD, FS, RA, QA, Procurement, SQA) to ensure complete and accurate specifications. Manage supplier relationships: gather information, collect questionnaires, align on spec details, and follow up to move processes forward. Initiate material testing and validate quality parameters when required. Maintain, update, and upload all specification and material qualification documentation into the system (Product Vision), tracking workflow. Ensure all requests are processed within defined SLAs and escalate critical issues to avoid supply shortages or production delays. Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to R&D leadership. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Bachelor’s in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry, Biochemical or Chemical Engineering, or similar. Fluent in spoken and written English. 1 year in R&D in a food company or relevant R&D internships. Intermediate skills in Excel, Word & technical systems. Knowledge of Food Safety (quality & safety) and ability to interpret technical data to find practical solutions.
